Our mission: digitize 1 million African WhatsApp sellers
SokoDesk was born in June 2026 in Douala, Cameroon. Soko means "market" and Desk means "organized": it is the organized market for African WhatsApp sellers.
Nkaka Jefkin
Founder & CEO
Digital marketing consultant (9 years of experience), founder of the IBMS agency — International Business Management Services — in Douala. He supported online sellers and clients in Australia, France and Canada before creating SokoDesk.
Contact founderBorn from the field, not a whiteboard
For 9 years, our founder supported online sellers and businesses as a digital marketing consultant — in Cameroon, and for clients in Australia, France and Canada. The same observation kept coming back: "I spend on Facebook ads but get no sales and no messages", "I am not visible on Google", "I overpay a Western platform just to have a store and manage my customers".
African commerce happens on WhatsApp: photos disappear in conversations, orders end up in a notebook, debts are forgotten. Shopify is too expensive and designed for the West, WordPress requires a developer, and WhatsApp catalogs remain limited. So he built the tool he would have wanted to recommend to every client: SokoDesk — Soko, the market; Desk, the organized.
In June 2026, the first version of SokoDesk was online. Today, more than 774 active shops use SokoDesk every day to grow their business.
Our values
Four principles that guide every product decision.
Seller-centric
Every feature is tested with real Cameroonian sellers before launch. If it does not help increase their sales or save their time, we do not build it. We spend 2 days a month in the field in Douala, Yaoundé and Bafoussam.
Affordable for all
The Free plan is free for life, and our paid plans start at 3,500 FCFA/month — less than a restaurant meal. No one should be left out for pricing reasons. We accept Mobile Money to make payment easy.
Privacy first
Your customer data belongs to you. We never sell it to third parties, do not use third-party advertising on your store, and you can export and delete your data at any time. HTTPS encryption, daily backups, full audit.
Built for Africa
Code written in Douala, French support, FCFA prices, Mobile Money payment. We understand the context: Internet outages, entry-level Android phones, preference for WhatsApp, and the importance of trust between seller and customer.
Our journey
Key milestones since launch.
The idea becomes SokoDesk
After 9 years of digital marketing serving sellers and SMEs, the observation is clear: African WhatsApp sellers lack a simple, affordable tool built for them. SokoDesk — the organized market — is launched.
First active shops
774 active shops today. The first sellers in Cameroon are organizing their business on SokoDesk.
Pro & Scale, then West Africa
Launch of Pro and Scale plans for growing SMEs, then expansion to Senegal and Ivory Coast.
